Update: Vick should be cut

July 25, 2007 · 5 Comments

Today is his day in court

ESPN coverage.

 Atlanta Journal-Constitution updates all day.

Whether Michael Vick is convicted or acquitted of the FEDERAL CHARGES accusing him for involvement in dogfighting, he shouldn’t play a single game this season.

Also – federal indictments are no freakin’ joke. When the feds come down, they come down hard. They and the NFL are probably looking to make someone an example for all the crap that’s happened lately.

Vick is no scapegoat for them. He’s already been asked not to go to training camp. And if Arthur Blank is smart, he’ll not only ask Vick sit out for just in four games, but all season. Yes, the players agreement limits the suspensions to four games, we know. Vick himself can decide to sit out, however.

Whatever happens, the Falcons should move as fast as they can. And Vick should not see a single snap this season.

Good story on the issue at the AJC site.
